I already read the manga months after it was formally announced that nino will play a role in it.. Read it at the office while doing my office work. At first I thought, it will be just one of those period movies that will bring me back to time and tell the heroism of a certain guy. I wasnt as excited as I am now beofre, Honestly I am more xcited about the gantz movie coz of the action scenes nino will be doing.
But then again, I decided to re-read the manga a day after a certain teaser of ohoku was released. To be exact, after the **(^ scene of nino was released. Not because of that scene but because I cannot remeber for the life of me, why is there such as scene in the movie. I knw he will have that scene but i never thought that he would actualy do it. and i mean.. REALLY DO IT with the hair still intact and not with the chonmage. SInce he will have a scne with kou with that chonmage hair, i dont think the teaser in the film is the one with kou. Maybe it is that flashbakc scene in the manga. When the poor obasan was begging for his "seed". and so maybe i should expect for more steamy scenes like that one. OMG. my poor heart. Nino's becoming soo daring with his movies.
Maybe because I'm in the office when i first read it, i didnt absorb the character that well. i only know the general idea behind the movie. and then, i re-read it.
Tthe hero in themanga aka mizuno s portrayed by nino. The guy is perfect, funny, strong, tall, kind and handsome, while my nino is small, fair-looking, and he doesnt look like a man to me.more of like a boy, brat, funny and cute. While I am convinced enough that nino has the character to play mizuno, i still caannot see him as manly. LOLS. SURPRISE ME NINO! he has the bubbly character and the looks though. ^^;;; i wanna hear good reviews on this film and possibly an award for nino. coz im sure gantz will be bombarded with criticisms from all the gantz lovers ut there, Theres just no way. i believe, that a movie addaptation will be as good as the manga. THOUGH, i must admit, kenichi matsuyama as l is PERFECT for the role. I LOVE L. just saying.
Based from the teaser, I am loving the script. I think they have kept the original lines from the manga, the comparison with the fishes in the aquarium, nino's line of thought about ohoku, th guy-guy love relationship, etc.
I love kou's character. she's perfect for the role. SHe's tough and has the character to make the guys' follow her leadership.
Tamaki, IS PREEEEETYYYYYY and we all know how good he can protray the role. i am amzed by his acting in nodame and his other doramas so therr is no doubt in me that he won't carry this role perfectly.
MAKI, while i dont like her, and i dont know y.. i am conviced that her face looks almost the same as the girl in the manga. The highlight for me is not actualy mizuno entering the chmber but the love bwetween onobu and mizuno. The reason y nino chose to enter ohoku than be wed, his last wish before doing it to kou. it just soooo heartbreaking... i actually love these type of stories. haha. when the girl and the guy can't confessed their true feelings for each other. KYAAAA♥♥♥♥ I wanna see nino make a love story drama again. :(
I love the lines in the manga, how witty and funny mizuno's character is. how tough the shogun can be and the tough world inside ohoku. actually, there are too many good looking guys in this movie aside form the award-winning manga and script. I am actually looking forward to this movie. ♥♥♥ I might actually buy the movie dvd when it ws released. ^^
